Class Rooms
Classrooms at Navjyoti Public School Shaheed Path are spacious workshops for learning. Each class room has activity corners, smart board and internet connection to allow access to relevant information required for concept clarification. Classrooms not only act as centres of collaborative learning but also act as an arena where our students can take stock of their strengths and weakness, opportunities and challenges, respond creatively, take decision and master the tricks of self development.
Physics Lab
Navjyoti Public School Sarkaghat is proud to have a sophisticated Physics Laboratory with the latest state-of-the art facilities that equip the students to have a hands on experience. The Flat-topped tables used as student workstations allow multiple arrangements and combinations for laboratory work and small-group activities. The equipment ranges from the commonly found lens, magnet, beam balance, spring balance, glass prism to the advanced apparatus like voltmeter, ammeter and resistors and spectrometers to name a few. The laboratory is also equipped with an Interactive board and an LCD projector that allows the teachers to incorporate the latest technology in their lessons to arouse the interest and curiosity of the students. Furthermore, the spacious physics lab is designed in a way to accommodate students comfortably.
Computer Lab
There is special emphasis given on computer education .The school has a state of art computer lab. Computer science as a subject is compulsorily taken up for all students from nursery to X and beyond. The entire curriculum is well integrated with IT. Students also learn web designing, animation and other related and relevant computational skills.
Play Ground
Growing Children need to be provided with avenues to channelize their abundant energy resources. Sports and games provide appropriate learning platform to imbibe essential life skills required for the task of effective growing up. School has one playground in the city for outdoor games with facilities as Basketball,kabadhi ,Kho-Kho,Vollyball etc.
Biology Lab
The role of the laboratory and field learning becomes a key component in understanding Biology. Laboratory, field activities and inquiry provide students with opportunities to question, observe, sample, experience, and experiment with scientific phenomena in their quest for knowledge of living things. NJAV vaunts an intricately designed Biology Laboratory planned to meet the demands of the advancement in science and technology. The laboratory apparatus ranges from simple slides, test-tube, petridishes, Bunsen burners, beakers and flasks to the composite microscopes of varying powers to observe samples and organisms closely. They are high-powered, extremely expensive, and sensitive pieces of equipment that can make even the smallest parts of a single cell seem clear.
Chemistry Lab
Chemistry Laboratory provides a platform for students to nurture the budding scientist within them. The laboratory is furnished with latest hi-tech interactive smart boards for a virtual real life learning experience. The Lab is provided with the state- of- the art devices like- Fume hood, Distillation unit, Electronic weighing machine, Concealed gas line and the safety devices such as Firefighting equipment, First- Aid Kit etc. The acids and other reactive chemicals are stored in separate cupboards as a further precautionary measure. The students are provided with separate workstations with individual burners and plug points. The apparatus includes the commonplace strikers, mortar and pestle, clay triangles, watch glasses, crucibles, crucible tongs, chemical spoon, stirring rods, filter funnels and a variety of stoppers.
Activity Room
School has aesthetically designed well equipped separate rooms for various activities such as art and craft, theatre, dance, music, yoga, aerobics, gymnasium and play/ activity room for the toddlers.
Curriculum Facilities
Curriculum at NJAV takes particular care to ensure wholesome and all round development of the child, his character and personality as well as inculcate in the child such qualities that will enable him / her to grow up as disciplined, well adjusted and responsible citizens. Keeping in view the same a range of co- curricular activities have been designed.
Skill Development through Hobbies:
Hobby clubs cover a wide range of activities from sports to technology to art and culture. Each student can choose two clubs, one each from a different category (Sports & games /performing art) and pursue their interest. Students will receive personalized training from experts on the hobby chosen during school hours.
Art and Craft
Painting & Sketching / Clay modelling / sculpture / Cartooning / Interior Designing / Calligraphy / Origami.
Music and Dance
Vocal music / Indian Classical dance / Western dance/ Folk dance / Instrumental – Guitar, sitar, tabla, Flute, Drums.
Dramatics
Theatre enhances one’s ability to observe, analyze, emote, negotiate and imagine through space and time structures. It allows expressing ones understanding of things, concepts and situations without hesitation. It also builds up confidence and public speaking skills. Theatre holds a very special place in learning and personality development at NJAV Sarkaghat.

House System
Students are divided into four houses; Prithvi, Agni, Vaayu and Jal for cultivating the spirit of belongingness and competition. Inter house activities and morning assembly encourage development of values, skills, leadership, public speaking, group cohesiveness and many more desirable traits.
